I have so many things I want to share with you but I really need a new camera. All I've had to use lately is my phone camera, and it just doesn't do to suit me. Any suggestions on a good point and shoot? I don't want anything fancy - just something that I can use to capture some good pictures to share with you. What do you have? Also, I used to always use Picnik to crop my pictures, but that's no longer available. What do you use? (something easy....I'm technologically challenged LOL)
I was looking through my blog and realized that I've not posted much about my cross stitching lately but have mainly concentrated on quilting and sewing. It's certainly not because I haven't been stitching as I stitch EVERY night while watching TV. I can't sit down and not have something in my hands....ever. I've been working on Marianne Wenn (LOVE this sampler), HoHRH, and also a Rico table topper. I switch between them, stitching on whichever ones screams at me the loudest! I do have to admit that there are some new things that are screaming at me, too, but I'm trying not to listen. Anybody else have that problem? :0)
I got a bit of new stash in the mail the other day. One of my favorite ONS's was having a sale, so what's a girl to do? Well, take advantage of it, of course! Here is what I got. All Shepherd's Bush, as you can see. I do love me some Shepherd's Bush. :0)
I have a LOT of small finishes that need to have the "finishing finishing" done on them. I seriously need to take a few days and just do it. Here are just a few that are waiting in the wings to be finished up.
I love this Shepherd's Bush finish. The Jill Rensel mat came in the kit (YAY!), so I just need to get it framed. It will hang in my pink guest room.
These last two I picked up from the framers a couple of weeks ago.
Lastly, here is a picture of part of the front of our house after having the brick painted. It's very hard to see the colors (bad camera again), but I'm totally in love with the way it turned out. I really need to find a picture of this house when I moved into it 16 years ago. The front is totally different. Actually the whole house is different. It's taken alot of years, but Bob and I enjoy doing it, so it's been a fun thing to do together - a little at a time.
Well dear friends, I just heard the dryer go off, so I'm being paged. I hope this week finds you well and getting lots of time to stitch, quilt, sew or whatever makes you smile. Thank you all so much for stopping by and for leaving comments. They mean so much to me! I love my online friends. :0)
Love and hugs from Texas,

You are working on so many lovely projects and have some fun ones waiting in the wings. Me have trouble ignoring new things? Never! LOL! I just purchased another cross stitch pattern - it's not like I don't have enough of those already.
I use a Nikon Coolpix camera and Picasa for cropping.
Your house looks wonderful!
I recently got a Lumix FH25 by Panasonic. Read lots of good things about it online before buying and I have been quite pleased with it.
Oh my! Look at those gorgeous finishes :) WOW! YGG :)LOVE your framed pieces as well :)...and, yummy, yummy stash!!
Love ya GF!! ((hugs))
Great stitching goodies and finishes! Your house is so cute ~ those chairs on your porch look like the perfect stitching chairs!

Great new stash and finishes. Love your framed pieces too. Those buttons are adorable.. will have to have a look at HL...
happy stitching...
You have to check out Picmonkey, created by the same people that created Picnik I believe... have fun :O)
I loved everything about this post! Those buttons, the stash, the framing, the finishes, the house! Hodge Podge perhaps...but I like it too :)
Love, Love, Love Shepherd's Bush. We actually vacationed in Utah and I got to go the store in Ogden. Twice. Heaven! So spill----where's a decent place to order Shepherd's Bush online?????
Oh what a lovely post. I love all your finishes they are stunning. Your house looks so pretty xx
Wonderful new stash! What wonderful finishes too!
Beautiful finishes Carolyn and I love the look of your house.
First the house picture looks wonderful. I can only imagine what you have done with it. I love what you have done with your blog great post and give-aways... Hope you are well Carolyn
Carolyn --
LOVE your stash haul! You certainly got some beauties there.
Your framing is beautiful and I love the choices you made on the moldings.
Oh my you have been a busy girl with all those finishes. Can't wait to see how you finish them up!
Beautiful stitching and great stashing!
The houses great! I'll have to drive by sometime to see it "in person" ("in house?"
Hey pretty lady! Boy, have you been busy! Love all your little SB kits! I just finished the Eve's Garden - watch my blog for a couple of warnings...
The little pieces waiting to be "finished" are just sweet as can be and what's not to love about Rose Garden - I did that one a while back - it's so sweet!
Your framed pieces look fab - great frame choices! I especially like the BBD baskets.
Cute buttons and your home is just as darling and friendly looking as you are.
I have a Sony Cybershot camera and like it okay but I don't like the rechargeable battery. If it dies, I can't switch out the batteries. I know it's more environmentaly friendly but....
Have a great rest of the week!
Hugs!
Such beautiful stitching :D
I use a Panasonic Lumix one of the drop proof ones. and Photobucket has online photo storage and picture editing which I use both :D I don't trust blogger to hold my pictures!
Great new SB stash. Your finish stitching looks great and all the framed pieces do too. The front of your home looks great, it makes me wish I lived somewhere that the weather was good enough to have a porch to sit on. If I did that here I would get very wet and blown away.
I love your post title. LOL! So cute.
A lot of yummy SB stash. Their designs are lovely. Beautiful framing too. Oh, those buttons are darling. How big are they? They look really big in the photos.
Hugs,
Veronica.
Hubby bought me an Olympus Stylus camera a year ago. I'm tech challenged, but, even I can use this camera. Love those buttons.
Those pictures are from your camera? They look great. Good luck with your camera search. It's a daunting task. I use a Cannon Sure Shot which I am happy with, but it has it's limitations.
You've got some great finishes!! And you picked up some wonderful stash too.
I love those buttons and might have to go looking for some. I found a white one at Joanne's, but love that red one.
totally love those big buttons. We don't have that kind of thing in our hobby lobby. Enjoyed visiting your site, and lovely creations. I invite you to browse my blog when you have time.
Heather
Great stash! Love that framed piece.
Why did I think you said you painted your house gray?
Lots of great stuff in your post. I need to check Hobby Lobby for those buttons! I'm with you..I really miss Picnik, it was so easy to use and I loved being able to edit my photo there and then save it off to my computer. I was so sad when they closed!
Doesn't matter what camera I use, I just cannot take good photos!
