Today is the day I get my new doo, or I should say my summertime cut. At this moment I look like Marge Simpson on steriods, so I'm sure my beautition will have a big, fat laugh when I show up. Thank goodness it's only at her house and I don't have to go into too much public. I literally scared myself looking in the mirror this morning....and my saint of a husband still told me he loved me before he left for work. I really, really need to make him an eye appointment very soon. I love that man!
All three dogs had their new doos this weekend. I will have to post pictures later. They don't even look like our dogs anymore, but I know they are much cooler. With our weather already in the three digits (I am doing to die, I tell ya), they are very lucky to be inside dogs. They are spoiled...VERY spoiled. Gotta love 'em...
No pictures today to share with you unless I would share my dry, dead yard (no rain) or my hair (that is SO not happening - you would never come back!), or my floors that need mopping. I hate mopping. I'd rather chew on the bottom of my shoes than mop. I do it, but I don't like it.
My sleeping habits are still HORRIBLE. I wish I could get back into a normal schedule like NORMAL people. It's beginning to take a toil on this old body of mine. I mean, who gets their second wind at 1:00 a.m. besides me??? Nobody. I'm so weird.
Okay, off to the doo lady. Hopefully I will look a tad bit better when I leave than when I get there. Oh, BTW, a GREAT GREAT giveaway is coming up in the next few days. Just a little tease there, but I guarantee you that you'll love it!
Hope to see you soon and have a most wonderful day. :)
Hugs and love from hot and dry Texas,

Oh my goodness! You made me laugh til I cried. I hate mopping, too... and I had that same feeling when I looked at myself in the mirror this morning. I'm trying to decide whether to get it cut short or leave it long so I can pull it back since it's so hot. Decisions.... Have a good day!!
Sorry about 3 digit weather so early. I hate the heat and we get alot here in So. Calif.
I hate cleaning the shower.
Have fun with the new Doo.

You are so funny! I had to laugh when I read your post. My husband, also a saint, tells me I am beautiful all the time too. When he says it in the morning I have to question his sincerity, but he insists that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am your newest follower, and I hope you will come visit me at my new blog, Ric Rac and Polka Dots. I am brand new, but have lots of fun stuff planned to share with everyone. I hope to see you there!

There is no way you aren't as cute as can be - no matter what your hair looks like! Can't wait to see a pic of your new cut.
I also HATE mopping. What is it about that chore? I also hate unloading the dishwasher; don't mind loading it but hate to unload.
My stylist can't see me this week. I am about to take scissors in hand and do it myself.
You had me cracking up with this post! And yes, in Texas it is hotter than H E double toothpicks. I don't even want to see July, much less August.
Carolyn, hope your summer do turned out great! Did you get your mopping accomplished?

Great minds think alike -- I got my summer cut last week before going on Quilt Retreat with my guild. And my puppies got theirs Monday. I brought them to my daughter's tonight and my 2 year old grandson asked "Did you bring new dogs?" I guess they needed a hair cut more than I realized, LOL!
I am weird too. I get my second wind around two, and usually stay up till five or six. Then I sleep till three or four in the afternoon. Drives my mom crazy, lol. I hate to mop too, but only cause it hurts me. I have a bad back so all that twisting and turning and shoving really kills it. Glad you got your doggies a haircut, and that they are inside dogs. I bet they're much happier that way. Also, more chances for pettings and spoilings. Hope you've had a great day!!
I can totally relate to what you're saying through everything except for the dogs. I have one tabby... enough said. lol
I hope you post a pic of your new "Do". I'm going to have to go back soon and get my "Do" redone. :)
Mopping? What's that? *grin*
I wanna see a picture of the new doo!
Oh, you had me laughing so hard....I could join you chewing on our shoes, instead of mopping. Followed by ironing. Unless, of course, it is quilting fabric. LOL
Show us your new do!!

I hear you on the mopping - mainly for me it's because 10 minutes after I finally mop, someone spills rootbeer or drips popsicle all over the floor, so really, why bother?
Good luck with the new 'do!
Pictures! We need pictures of the new you with the new do.
Ha. Hope your new "doo" turned out to be all you hoped for.
I hate mopping also. Where's the maid when you need her??
Have a good day.
Oh Carolyn you gave me my laugh of the day! I share your pain about mopping. :) blessings, marlene
I'll show you my "do" if you show me yours. LOL
I don't know about you but my "do" has done got up and gone.
Luv ya,
Louie
We need pictures ! Loved reading your post thank you made me laugh for ages x
What a funny post. You always have a way of making me laugh! Sleep problems are not fun! I know first hand. I hope you are able to get back in the groove.
You don't even want me to list all the housework chores I hate! The list could fill a basket which I would then have to clean out so I won't do it!
I'll be waiting on your next post!
I'm laughing at the image of Marge Simpson on steriods. I'm sure that your new doo will be wonderful! I have to agree with you on the mopping - I really hate that chore.
And I'm right there with the horrible sleeping - last night it was 3:00. It's not unusual for me to get up and go work on a quilt. I hate it, absolutely hate it!! I want to sleep like everyone else!
Hope your doo comes out great!
I need to go to the hospital, my emotion is out of hand.....
don't like moping either...but, maybe I'd rather clean a toilet than chew on a shoe? =P
I SOOO NEED a trip to the "Do Lady"! I'm excited to "hear" if you like your new DO. =)
=( sorry you are still having trouble sleeping...maybe the sleep-clock inside youz body isn't off kilter? =(
