I'm so late....

Last week I received the last two ornaments for our Christmas Swap and I am so late in posting pictures that I'm embarrassed. I do have an excuse, though. My mom has been in the hospital all last week and didn't come home until yesterday, and I've spent most of my time with her. Vonna and Julianne, I apologize for my tardiness in posting your lovely ornaments on my blog. I love both of them VERY much, and they are already hanging on my tree. Here are what these sweet ladies stitched for me:

From Julianne:

This is a design by a French designer (I LOVE French designers!) called L'R de rien and it is called "Latin de Noel" (Elf of Christmas). I ADORE anything red, and Julianne did an awesome job stitching and finishing this lovely ornament. Thank you Julianne!!

This is a Plum Street Sampler design and Miss Vonna dyed her own linen. Isn't it great?? Vonna does such wonderful finishing, not to mention her lovely stitching.
Thank you, Miss Vonna!! I just love it!

Of all the exchanges that I've participated in this past year, this one has been my favorite. Of course it's been soooo fun receiving all these lovely ornaments this past month, but it's also fun stitching for each of the participants. Thank all of you for the time you spent picking out just the perfect ornament for me, and for the creativity and time you spent stitching and finishing them. They are all so very special to me, as are you all. :)

The next few weeks will be nothing less than a blur for me. My niece is getting married December 20, and with all the showers, bridal luncheon, rehearsal dinner, and then the wedding, not to mention having an early Christmas with Kevin, Shannon and Kayla next week, my head is spinning! I don't want to forget anything. :) Tomorrow will be spent doing for my mom and then going over my list to make sure that I have what I need bought for next week. It will be here and gone before we know it, and the new year will be upon us.

I have so many things to be thankful for this year, and have a new grandbaby due in January, so he will be another special blessing to add to my very long list. :)

I think I'll hit the stitching chair and relax for a bit. I would like to wish my dear friend, Staci, a very happy birthday tomorrow. I hope you have a wonderful day, my friend!

As I love to say to you all, "I wish you enough" and remember....

Be a friend,
Carolyn :)

Two new ornaments arrived!

What a wonderful mail day I had! Woohoooo! I received two more lovely ornaments from our Christmas Swap and they are both wonderful!

First is the one I received from Cathy. It's by LHN and was designed for Unicef. I just love it! Cathy does beautiful stitching and finishing and this was no exception! Check out this beauty. :)

Next up is this beauty sent by Carol. Carol does gorgeous work, too, and I just LOVE all the beads around the edges. Perfect stitching and finishing on this one, as well. This design is by Blue Ribbon Designs...another of my favorites!

Awesome, aren't they? My basket is getting full and is just so lovely with all the different treasures that I've received. This has been such a fun exchange!

Thank both of you very much. :) I will treasure these pretties and will think of you both as I decorate my tree each year. :)

I heard from Kevin tonight and they had been to the doctor to check on the new baby that is due January 20th. Mr. Carter is a little porker!! He already weighs 4 lbs. 11 oz. and still has 6 weeks before he's supposed to make his grand entrance. Maybe he will come early??? Like on my birthday? That would be awesome! I just pray that he's healthy. That's all that matters.

I'm slowly but surely getting the house decorated. With being sick for so long, it's been done in spurts. I'm feeling so much better now (thank goodness), but I'm feeling the pressure of being behind. Christmas will be here before we know it, and I still have so much to do. I had so many wonderful plans; so many people I wanted to stitch for, but it just didn't happen this year.

Speaking of stitching, I've been doing a bit, but can't share pictures yet. Hopefully soon. :)

I appreciate all of my blogging friends that I've met this year. I've only been in the "blog world" for a year, but so many of you have become so dear to me. I appreciate all that visit and comment, and I love all of the "newbies" that visit, too. Don't be shy. I love it when you say hello to me. ;)

Until next time....be a friend and "I wish you enough",

Carolyn
