I really have been stitching.....

Every single night. I just can't show it yet because it's for a Seasonal Exchange that I'm in. I'm almost finished and promise to show it when it's finished.

My entire stitching table (which is the size of a sheet of plywood) is covered in DMC floss that I bought when it was on sale. I've been trying to figure out a way to organize it. There are literally thousands of skeins. I love fondling it, but I need my table back. I have a quilt started that I want to finish for Kaylabug and other things to do.

Speaking of Kayla....I get to see her this weekend! WOOOHOOOOOO!! We are going up for the "Meet the Team" banquet for Kevin's baseball team and Shannon and the "buglet" (She's my ladybug) are coming for the weekend. A whole weekend with my precious grandbaby. That RULES!!

Since I don't have any stitching pictures to share with you yet, I do have a few from Christmas if you are interested.

The little Missy looks like she's up to something with the look on her face and pointing that finger. This is one of my favorites.

If you are still here, I wish you a wonderful week full of sunshine, laughter and lots and lots of stitching.

As Promised....

This is just a short post to put the newest pictures that I promised up. This is Miss Kaylabug from a few nights ago. I miss my baby girl.

One happy little baby.

I wish I could bury my self in that little double chin and get tons of "neck sugars". Hopefully it won't be long before I see her again AND hopefully it won't be long before I post some stitching pictures. I've been so busy organizing that I haven't done as much stitching as I was before the holidays.

Everybody enjoy the rest of your weekend, and thank you for looking at my little baby doll. :)

Hugs and love,
Carolyn

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well, today is my birthday, and I've decided to spend it doing whatever I want. Right now that is just sitting in my chair, stitching and watching TV. It was fun when the mail lady came and the phone has been ringing quite a bit with well wishes, so that's been fun. The only thing that would make it perfect would be if my kiddos were here. I'm needing a "Kaylabug" fix VERY BAD! They just change so much when they are newborns, and I don't want to miss a thing. Anyone wanna buy my house? I'm ready to move up there to be by them! LOL

Well, I think I'll spoil myself and take a nap. I may be back later as I have some pictures to share, but they are on the other computer and I'm too lazy to get up and upload them right now.

Hugs and love to each and every reader that I have.

Carolyn :)

Yeeehhhhawwww!!!!

Today was a GOOOOOD day! When I heard the dogs barking their brains out about 10:30 a.m. and a knock at the door, I knew that meant that the mail lady was there. Yep, she was. Saturday is my birthday, and she had the most wonderful package for me from my best friend in the whole world, Miss Chris. Wanna see? She knows I collect ladybugs, and look what she stitched for me! Is this not just the cutest???

I absolutely LOVE it!! Thank you so much, Chris. I will treasure it as I have everything else that you've stitched for me over the years. I've finally made a folder in my picturetrail album of gifts that have been stitched for me and plan to go around here and fill it up. No promises when it will get done, but it IS in the works. LOL

Now I must bore you with pictures of the love of my life, Miss Kaylabuglet. Shannon's Dad has a ranch and we all went up there during Thanksgiving so the kids could go hunting (not Kayla, of course, but she did have to dress the part!). I wanted to share a few of these and then next time will share a few Christmas pictures when I get them uploaded. I don't want to bore you. :)

Here's the whole group, including Miss Sadie, the lab.

I could just eat her up. :)

Kevin leaves tomorrow for school for his last semester of baseball. I hope this all works out for them. Shannon will only be in school a couple of days a week, so hopefully they will get to spend quite a bit of time together on her off days.

Well, time to go stitch. I just HAD to share my wonderful giftie from Miss Chris, and also post the pictures I had promised. Keep coming back...more to come. :)

Hugs and love,
Carolyn :)

Allow me to introduce myself....

I haven't written in so long that nobody probaby remembers me anymore, but I really, REALLY am going to try to do better this year. I have a gazillion pictures to post, but they need to be uploaded first, so this will be a pictureless post.

All of the Christmas decorations are taken down and put away for next year. Believe me, that was no small feat. I put up so many trees and other things that it takes forever, but then when it's all down, everything looks so bare. I was sooooo lucky to have Kevin, Shannon and Kaylabug here with us at Christmas this year. Warning....there WILL be pictures posted soon. LOL

I've done quite a bit of stitching this year, but have been horrible about keeping up with it and taking pictures. Alot of it was for exchanges, but the exchange boards I was on have closed, so I suppose I will be doing more stitching for me and for friends. In between the exchanges, I also had a wedding sampler and baby sampler to do. I'm ready for some little finishes. Right now I'm working on a Shepherd's Bush scissor fob. I'll post pictures soon of some of my finishes. Like I said, I just wanted to touch base with my blogging buddies, if there are any left LOL and will post pictures soon.

Kevin will be leaving on January 10th to go back to school to play baseball. This will be a true test for he and Shannon, although she will be spending most of the time with him. I'm TOTALLY looking forward to watching him play. This will be it. Unless he were to get drafted, baseball will be over for him after this semester. I'll miss it, as I'm sure he will, but he's got another life now, and it's a good one. He has a wonderful wife, an adorable (if I do say so myself!) daughter and many other blessings.

I spent this last year in a funk and very negative. This year is going to be different. I've already signed up to help out at the Women's Shelter and sewing and staying really busy. I have so many patterns to sew for Kaylabug and can't wait to get started on those. (For those that don't know, her real name is Kayla, but that's my nickname for her.)

Well, enough for now. I just wanted to let you know that I'm alive and kicking...well maybe not kicking too high, but I'm alive LOL and plan to try to keep you posted more often. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful online friends. Thank you all for your prayers, gifts, cards and everything else this past year.

Hugs and love,
Carolyn
