I haven't written in so long that nobody probaby remembers me anymore, but I really, REALLY am going to try to do better this year. I have a gazillion pictures to post, but they need to be uploaded first, so this will be a pictureless post.
All of the Christmas decorations are taken down and put away for next year. Believe me, that was no small feat. I put up so many trees and other things that it takes forever, but then when it's all down, everything looks so bare. I was sooooo lucky to have Kevin, Shannon and Kaylabug here with us at Christmas this year. Warning....there WILL be pictures posted soon. LOL
I've done quite a bit of stitching this year, but have been horrible about keeping up with it and taking pictures. Alot of it was for exchanges, but the exchange boards I was on have closed, so I suppose I will be doing more stitching for me and for friends. In between the exchanges, I also had a wedding sampler and baby sampler to do. I'm ready for some little finishes. Right now I'm working on a Shepherd's Bush scissor fob. I'll post pictures soon of some of my finishes. Like I said, I just wanted to touch base with my blogging buddies, if there are any left LOL and will post pictures soon.
Kevin will be leaving on January 10th to go back to school to play baseball. This will be a true test for he and Shannon, although she will be spending most of the time with him. I'm TOTALLY looking forward to watching him play. This will be it. Unless he were to get drafted, baseball will be over for him after this semester. I'll miss it, as I'm sure he will, but he's got another life now, and it's a good one. He has a wonderful wife, an adorable (if I do say so myself!) daughter and many other blessings.
I spent this last year in a funk and very negative. This year is going to be different. I've already signed up to help out at the Women's Shelter and sewing and staying really busy. I have so many patterns to sew for Kaylabug and can't wait to get started on those. (For those that don't know, her real name is Kayla, but that's my nickname for her.)
Well, enough for now. I just wanted to let you know that I'm alive and kicking...well maybe not kicking too high, but I'm alive LOL and plan to try to keep you posted more often. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful online friends. Thank you all for your prayers, gifts, cards and everything else this past year.
Hugs and love,
Carolyn
