I've been out of town since last Sunday watching Kevin play baseball and returned home yesterday (Saturday). Guess what was waiting for me??? You ready? You might want to get some tissues because you will be drooling. LOL I received my Summer Seasonal Exchange from
Becky and she spoiled me BIG TIME!!! This first picture is what she stitched for me. I just LOVE this box, and of course her stitching and finishing are perfect, as always.

This next picture is the inside of the box showing some of the other goodies that she sent.

And check out all these other wonderful things she sent!! I honestly felt like it was Christmas. She knows I collect ladybugs and love gardening, so the entire exchange was based around that theme.

I've had some "issues" going on in my life lately, and Miss Becky, you certainly brightened me up with your wonderful surprises. I can't thank you enough!
Between traveling to Canada for my MIL's funeral and spending a week in Dallas, I have to say that home looked VERY good to me yesterday when I walked in this door. Scrubbing floors and cleaning potties even sounds appealing. (Told ya I had issues! LOL) Even though the hotel was nice and watching Kevin play ball was fun, I have to admit that the walls were closing in on me and I wanted to sleep in my own bed and see my hubby. Tonight was the last of the games and the end of another era. Very bittersweet......
Kevin and Shannon will be getting married on August 15th. They are going to South Padre Island and it will be just the two of them. I have to admit that it hurts my heart a bit not to be there to share their joy. He's my only child, and I would give anything to be there, but this is what they chose to do and I respect their decision. And......my first grandchild is due on October 8th. So, I have been dealing with a LOT of changes that are going on in my life. I know once I lay eyes on Miss Kayla Anne my heart will melt. It's just been a bit hard letting go of him and getting used to all the changes. I love Shannon and would have picked her for him, so that's a major plus.
I don't know what effect this will have on his baseball yet. He is planning on going back to SFA in the spring and playing again, so we will see how that works out. Shannon is going to nursing school and only lacks a year. Kevin is majoring in bio-medical engineering. My major prayer is that they both will finish school. ANYWAY, as soon as I get some wedding pictures I will share them with you, and of course, you all will be sick to death of baby pictures once I start getting those! LOL
I hope all of you have a wonderful week, and thank you for reading and posting. It always excites me so when I see that I have comments! (It doesn't take much to make me happy. LOL)
Hugs and happy week,
Carolyn :)
