I just love new stash, don't you?? LOL

I've done quite a bit of stitching these last few days, but I can't share pictures yet. :) Since the mail lady brought me new stash today, I thought I'd share my goodies with you. :) I had gotten several gift certificates for my birthday to a few of my favorite online needlework shops, and I used one of them for this stash.

This is what I got:

Fabric:
32 ct. light mocha linen
34 ct. wren Legacy linen

Charts:
Victorian Christmas Swirls by Milady's Needle
French Monogram Collections III by Twisted Oaks Design
Red Desert Scissor Pocket with silks by The Cat's Whiskers
Feed My Soul Stitches by The Cat's Whiskers

Fibers:
4 Needle Necessities
3 NPI silks
10 Weeks Dye Works
11 AVAS silks

They also included a bunch of freebies, which I LOVE!

Now the big decision - what to stitch first! I'm leaning towards the French Monogram Collections. I just love smalls. :)

I didn't get any stitching in tonight because I was doing a bunch of baking. Tomorrow I will be attending one of my son's college baseball games, so I wanted to take him some baked goodies to take back to college with him. He's traveling to Houston to play, and since that's only an hour away from me, I will be there for sure with all my goodies in tow. It is now midnight, and I just finished my last batch of cookies. There are four different kinds of cookies and my famous flavored crackers, and I would imagine that he'll have lots of guys wanting to sit by him on the way home tomorrow night. :)

Thank you for visiting and as always, I appreciate your comments. I have to say I saw some drooling going on over my last stash haul. LOL I admit, I've been drooling, too. :)
Drop in anytime. I love having you visit me. :)

Hugs,
Carolyn :)

It's February already???

The two exchanges that I was involved in this month have been received, so I can share pictures of them with you now. This first one is "January Quaker" by Workbasket. I finished it into a pinkeep. It was such a fun stitch. :)

This next one was a biscornu exchange, but the biscornu was so small, I felt I needed to stitch something to go with it. This was my first time finishing a biscornu, and I enjoyed it so much. I will definitely be doing more of them in the future. :)

Now for the fun part!! A friend of mine and I decided to do a trade. She's not into stitching like she used to be and I'm not into scrapbooking/cardmaking like I used to be soooooo we had a stash trade. Here is the stitching stash that I received from her yesterday. OMGosh, I'm in stash heaven!!

These are leaflets and some kits:

I did good, huh? LOL I just hope she likes her scrapbook items that I sent. She should receive them the first of the week - three big boxes full!

In other news, LOL .....college baseball season was supposed to start today for Kevin, but the weather in Lubbock made them put it off until tomorrow. I still haven't figured out how they intend to play tomorrow either, but I'm sure the coaches have it figured out. Snow is not my idea of baseball weather. I don't miss too many of his games, but this one was 10 hours away, so I had to sit this one out. Thank goodness I can listen to it/watch it on the internet. Aahhh....the joys of modern technology! I'm definitely his biggest fan, and I ADORE the game itself. I hope he does well tomorrow. Typical mom....worrying about her baby doing good. :)

Time to do a bit of stitching. I can't sleep at night until I've put at least a few stitches into something. Thank you for your visits and your nice comments. I appreciate them so much!

Happy Weekend!

Carolyn :)
